Come play with us at Mia's Playground where we feature the best of Sonoma County's sub appellations.

Map

Alexander Valley - They valley is named after the founder is Cyrus Alexander who planted the first grape vine in the gravely valley soils in 1846. It's located at the top of Sonoma County with just enough coastal fog that makes the journey northward and inland to allow the cool nights and mornings that enable grapes to ripen slowly.

Russian River Valley - Cool growing area of the fog-filled Russian River Valley. Cooler temperatures allow the fruit to mature at a slow pace. Layer of marine moisture is drawn daily and creates an ideal trough in which cool air can gather and travel inland.

Carneros - Has a reputation of an ideal location to grow Burgundian grapes. However, in the past two decades many vineyards have begun planting merlot. Anyone who has visited wind-swept Carneros know how cool and fog-filled the area can be. This allows a long growing season for the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly.

Dry Creek - located about 90 minutes north of San Francisco in Sonoma County is a major producer of Zinfandel, with warm, dry summers and just enough of a cooling ocean influence from the nearby Pacific to keep the grapes happy. Nearly all of the valley's wine 50-plus wineries produce Zinfandel, many stemming from some of the oldest vines (often over 80 years old) in the region.

Mia's Playground is fun, playful and slightly irreverent. There is a serious side too. We're focused and dedicated…and you'll taste them all. And because of the closures, each wine is fresh and cork-taint free. Every bottle taste as the talented winemakers intended.
