XYZin - 100 Years in the Making. Ondine Chattan, Head Winemaker of XYZin and Assistant Winemaker for Geyser peak winery will be conducting an A to Z seminar on Zinfandel featuring XYZin 10 Year Old Vine, 50 Year Old Vine and 100 Year Old Vine wines.
During this seminar you will enjoy wines from unique California vineyards, some over one-hundred years old, as well as learn how a vineyard's age, soil, climate and terroir affect each of the XYZin Vine Age Series wines.
Ondine has over a decade of winemaking experience with a constant focus on, and passion for, Zinfandel. Her interest in nature and science began at an early age when she explored the marshlands near her home, studying insects and flowering plants. Her curiosity of science grew over time into a love of biology and chemistry, which produced a Master's in Enology. What better career than winemaking, a profession that marries the fundamentals of science with the beauty and art of nature. Ondine has established herself as one of the best makers of Zinfandel in the nation by receiving three "Best Buys" since XYZin's introduction three year ago.
Before joining the XYZin and Geyser Peak team, Ondine produced world class Zinfandel for Cline Cellars and Ridge in Sonoma County. Ondine has established herself as one of the best makers of Zinfandel in the World.
