Debbie lives her life around her passions. Her book, Good Friends Great Tastes is a compilation of her favorite and best recipes (over 300), many submitted from friends throughout the United States. A cookbook for those cooks aspiring to be better entertainers, Debbie describes her connection to each recipe contributor, quotes about friendship and lifestyle sections with menus and wine pairings are also included.

Debbie resides in Grapevine, Texas with her husband, David (wine enthusiast), and stepson, Ryan. David and Ryan share Debbie's appreciation of food, atmosphere and the ultimate culinary experience. They are her designated recipe testers along with many friends and relatives. Debbie develops recipes for Batter Up Kids (a children's culinary school franchise), and together with her husband, writes for several local publications. Debbie's background includes being a buyer for gourmet food products, developing culinary programs to highlight celebrity chefs, managing cooking schools and developing corporate team building programs and children's cooking camps.

Debbie has appeared on Daystar's The JONI Show, Good Morning Texas, NBC5, on the Cookin' with Carol and Just Like Home shows as well as the QVC Shopping Channel. She has been on Jim White's Eats and Drinks.com and The Good Life Guy radio shows. Debbie has been featured in the Dallas Morning News, D Home and Garden, The Gourmet Retailer, Specialty Food Magazine, The Fort Worth Star Telegram, Writer's Digest and D Home Design Magazine.

Debbie is a traveling culinary instructor and teaches for numerous culinary schools across the country. One of her most recent projects is working with Cook Children's to develop a program about food choices that encourage better health. The interactive parent-child cooking course is designed to reduce child obesity and encourage healthier eating overall.

While growing up in Kansas City, Debbie's interest in food was influenced by her German mother and other great entertainers. Debbie's bicultural upbringing led to several trips abroad as a child. Debbie notes that her travel abroad on a scholarship from Kansas State University helped her to further develop her palate. Her year in Europe allowed her to visit over ten countries and taste many foods from many cultures. These experiences contributed to her love and appreciation of food, wine and travel, which has attributed to her adult writing and food career.
